Gurjot Singh, Brasa BJJ Black Belt, and leader of Temple Underground will be returning to the Mat Monster Grappling Series mats against the debuting Bob Vereecke, Gracie Barra Black Belt, and leader of Greeneville Jiu-Jitsu on January 20th at Mat Monster 8.

The history between these two distinguished Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Black Belts is an interesting one as Singh was a student under Vereecke and the late Buddy Morgan at Greeneville Gracie Barra (now Greeneville Jiu-Jitsu) where Singh picked up multiple IBJJF Pan Ams and World titles while representing Gracie Barra under the guidance of Vereecke, Buddy Morgan, and the great Samuel Braga.

Singh made the switch from Gracie Barra in 2022 and is now representing Brasa BJJ, with Vereecke still proudly representing the Gracie Barra affiliation.

After countless hours on the mats together pushing each other to get better, they now will be competing for real on the Mat Monster Grappling Series mats on January 20th.

There will be more match announcements coming soon, stay tuned to all of the Tennessee BJJ Association and Mat Monster Grappling Series social media channels for more info on this upcoming event!  January 20th in Maryville, Tennessee, Mat Monster Grappling Series returns!

It is a great honor to learn from Bob V. He has been a Professor longer than me. He is a great steward of the BJJ and LEO communities. He will help me find the holes in my game. I welcome him to this East Tennessee Competition Series.

Jee and I go back several years. He's a good friend, competitor, and fellow gym owner and instructor. He's an accomplished competitor and I look forward to being back on the mats with him!
